Freckles - July 1945 and an update too...

Another update my friends. I have added July to the mix now. Hope you enjoy them. Will try to add more in the future, I hope.

Web hosting/the Archives

If anyone wants to host/add their files in the ilovecomix archives you can upload them at ilovecomix log in ID and password is: ilovecomix. Go to the upload folder create yourself a directory and add anything you like.

If your an avid collector and have hundreds or even thousands of comix files please follow these directions on a simpler way to upload files to the ilovecomix archives. First download this software program. Jungledisk Workgroups Edition Then proceed to the following video below for install instructions.

I love newspaper comix so much that I decided to created an online archive to preserve this disappearing past time. I would love for other avid fans to help in preserving newspaper comix so future generations have access to the best comics every created.

Added the end of May and June

Another update my friends - added the last few of May and all of June. Will add more in a day or two. I think were in to new strips that have not been posted yet. sorry for taking forever to post them. I know I have been a little behind, may want to check the archives out. I have added alot of old stuff form a few website I raided.

Also will be intergrading my archive with my email automatically with the groups I get scans from. Hopefully ill be able to add everything I receive daily to the folder automatically. WE will see how this goes, I'm testing it out now. Enjoy the scans....

Another update my friends - added April and May shortly to the 1945 daily's. Will add more soon. I think I have ended all the repeats and have started adding some new strips now. Request Help Please (Microfilm Locations)

Hey gang, I'm looking for locations to increase my newspaper comic search of microfilm/scanned newspapers. I know about Newspaper Archive but it costs money. I have been to http://news.nnyln.net/ but its very limited and I'm looking to add Sunday scans I don't have.

If I could personally ask those who read my blog, could I get a few suggestions and links to web sites where I can increase my search. I would prefer not to pay anything, but any suggestions would be great to reference. Remember I am very limited now days on funds and don't want to pay much if I could avoid that. Posting comments would be awesome

Some new changes coming to my blogs

I was goofing off with Picasa web albums yesterday and today, because I skipped an image in the Month of may for 1945 freckles, and I noticed it does what I have always wanted to do in the past. Picasa has individual web albums and you can enable slide shows or you can even do the easy click through.

With this new feature one can add comments on individual pictures. One can view the comic in order, eliminating the blog post viewing. One can read the strip quickly and not have the pain of making sure you have not read it before.

I am going to love this once I get the current images updated, in order and in their correct albums. Remember I have a lot of updating to do in my albums so bear with me. Oh, i do plan on adding many of the comics in in the archives in the near future.
